Question Outline & Sections

Grant questionnaires and proposal guidelines usually follow multi-tiered structures with major themes, sections, and nested sub-questions. Kilavuz provides an interactive question tree designed to handle complex proposal templates with ease.

Adding Questions & Sub-questions

Building your proposal structure takes just a few clicks:

• Adding a Main Section: Click the + Add Question button at the top of your workspace to create a top-level question or major chapter.
• Adding a Nested Question: Hover over any existing question and click the + Add Sub-question icon to attach a child item.
• There are no arbitrary depth limits; you can nest questions as deeply as your grant template requires.

Reordering with Drag-and-Drop

Rearranging sections is completely visual and intuitive:

1. Click and hold the drag handle on the left side of any question card.
2. Drag the card up or down to your desired position.
3. Release the mouse button to drop it in place.
4. Nested child questions move together with their parent, preserving your proposal’s outline structure and numbering integrity.

Editing & Adding Guidelines

You can edit question wording directly by clicking on the text:

• Add word counts, scoring criteria, or specific instructions from the funder’s handbook into the description field.
• The AI assistant uses these instructions to tailor its drafts to your funder’s exact requirements.

Safe Deletion & Recovery

When removing a section:

1. Click the trash icon on the right side of the question.
2. A confirmation prompt displays how many sub-questions are attached beneath it.
3. Confirm to archive the item. Archived items can be easily restored from the project history if needed.
